HARRISBURG STATE HOSPITAL / DGS ANNEX COMPLEX DISCLAIMER:

The former Harrisburg State Hospital property / DGS Annex Complex is owned and maintained by the PA Dept of General Services. The property is not abandoned. Entering any of the buildings or tunnels is illegal. It does not matter if you find an open door or window. Entering any of the buildings or tunnels without express permission from the PA DGS is trespassing. Trespassers will be prosecuted with criminal trespassing, a second- or third-degree felony under Statute Title 18 section 3503-A of the PA General Assembly. This charge carries a 7 to 10 year imprisonment and a fine of up to $15,000 to $25,000.
As of April 2024, access to the exterior campus and grounds is permitted from 6am to 6pm EST. The Capital Police patrol the grounds regularly, train inside the buildings, and have keys to all the buildings. PA DGS personnel are onsite daily.
